All India Malayalee Association, a confederation of Malayalee Associations functioning within India had its humble inception on 07.07.2007 at Chennai.  Backed with the vision perceived by its pioneer members and determination of its leaders, during  this short span of its existence, the breadth and width of the nation witnesses various activities of AIMA.  Today numerous enrolled registered associations and individual members march forward together with the single objective of contributing something positively for the society and nation under the aegis of AIMA National body and its 25 State units.

Apart from involving in various philanthropic activities, AIMA is dedicated for the enrichment of Malayalam language, culture, arts, literature and age old traditions of Kerala.  While thriving for achieving its objectives, AIMA also interlocks the hands and hearts of pravasi malayalees residing at different parts of the nation with a commitment to actively contribute for Nation building.

During its short span of 7 years of existance, AIMA also bagged prestigious Garshom Award for its efforts to spread brotherhood and unity among malayalees spread out in various parts of the country.  The Tenth Garshom award was presented to Shri Gokulam Gopalan, President AIMA by the Bengaluru Development and town planning Minister Sri. K J George during the tenth Garshom awards presentation ceremony held in the Garden City College Ceremony Hall on Sunday 27th December 2015 in recognition of its efforts.
